Critics didn’t think so, for some reason, but boy it hasn’t aged well at all. This fact may be why Phantom Dust went mostly unnoticed aside from a select few who played the game and raved about it for over a decade. Unlike today, the number of titles that supported Xbox Live was scarce, but most people were probably too into Halo 2 to give a shit about anything else released at the time. I was finishing up high school and had just talked my mom into getting DSL internet so I could play Halo 2 online. Oh, joy.ĭeveloper: Microsoft Game Studios, Code Mystics (port)īack in 2004 when Phantom Dust originally released, the world was a very different place. Okay, okay, there was Halo Wars 2, but you already forgot about that like most people have, right? I sure did.īut don’t worry, Microsoft hasn’t forgotten about its loyal Xbox fans: it released a remastered version of an obscure Xbox budget title from 13 years ago for free, now with added microtransactions. Running a 3440x1440 monitor and 2560x1440 monitors at the same time on DP (144hz for each). How about that Xbox One, guys? So many hot exclusives have come out this year for it such as, well, nothing. I've tried with both hardware acceleration on and off to the same effect. However, downloaded videos really don't have any skipping issues (basically none), so I'm not sure what could be causing it. Running the latest version of Windows 10. Brand new drivers entirely with Nvidia and nothing. I never really had this issue until a few months ago and now I can't seem to get it fixed. I also notice that keeping a web browser open, even if it only uses 2 or 3 gigs of RAM (I have 32GB) can noticeable lower the FPS in games compared to when the browser is closed. Nah, it's just whatever the factory OC is on my 3080 Aorus Master.Īlso, side thing, for some reason, I get can get random hiccups in videos, so like I could be watching YouTube and it could miss a very brief frame. But man is it ever distracting and not comforting in anyway. Also been playing The Division 2 lately and standing still with no issues. I just ran a full match of Insurgency without this ever happening. You can always replace the fans on the gpu with an AIO but I can't be bothered.Ī year or so back I thought the clicks was my mechanical hard drive dying on me (hard drive died anyway lol but that's another story). The speed is controlled by Fan Control (by Remi) like the rest of the fans in my pc. My solution won't work for everyone, I just put a 120mm fan "underneath" the GPU blowing air in all the time which keeps the temps away from the "clicking zone". It was annoying af and messing with the fan control speeds just "kicked the can down the road" since it would lead to the same situation at just another temp. This stopping and starting of the fans, and reacting to the temp made a click noise all the time. This was using the PC "normally", not under load just browsing watching vids etc. Click to shrink. My gpu fans used to stay in a temperature "sweet spot" just before the software wants to start spinning the fans, but then stopping as the temp cooled.
